Every Wednesday from 9am to 5pm will see the latest addition to the Greater Manchester networking calendar take place at Salford Innovation Park – Salford Jelly.

A Jelly is a casual and flexible workspace where you can come and work for free, hopefully meeting some interesting people and maybe starting some collaborative projects along the way.
Salford Jelly will provide the space, tables, chairs, wifi, tea and coffee – you bring your laptop and a smile. It will take place every Wednesday, is free to attend and is perfect for freelancers, home workers or simply anyone who likes a change of office scenery.
Launched by Manchester Science Parks, who run Salford Innovation Park, Salford Jelly was born after seeing the successful collaborations and networking that came from the Manchester Jelly, which takes place every Friday at MadLab in the Northern Quarter.
Gemma Hargreaves, head of marketing and communications at msp and Salford Jelly organiser, said:
“Across our four Manchester Science Park sites we try to encourage as much interaction and collaboration as possible between our tenants but we know there are so many interesting companies and freelancers out there for whom permanent office space, or even hot desking, isn’t always possible or the right solution.
“There is a lively and growing business community in Salford and we hope this weekly event will prove to be a valuable addition to all the great events already taking place in Greater Manchester.
“Sometimes, working in isolation means that you miss out on the chance to bounce ideas off co-workers, get advice or just indulge in a bit of office chatter to break up the day.
“A Jelly is the perfect way to bring new people and ideas into our midst and will hopefully benefit our tenants as much as it does those looking for a place to work for the day.”
Jellies started in the USA and regularly take place in cities across the world. Salford Jelly is free to attend with parking and light refreshment facilities available on site.
