Chapel Street Business Group expands to become The Business Group Salford

After more than twelve years of supporting businesses in and around Central Salford and following extensive consultation with members and partners, Chapel Street Business Group has now rebranded as The Business Group Salford.

 

 

The service we provide to new, emerging and established businesses has long been acknowledged as an important part of the City of Salford’s business support infrastructure. We hope this rebrand will make the Group more accessible to businesses throughout Salford and the surrounding areas and will allow us to extend our services and eliminate the illusion that we are solely here to provide support to businesses based on Chapel Street.  This change will undoubtedly mean that we are more effective in our efforts to provide support throughout other parts of the city and allow us to retain our values established over the course of twelve years working with small businesses.

We've also launched our new website www.thebusinessgroup.org and we'll be rolling out a number of features over the course of the next few weeks to allow members to publicise their news, events and opportunities and to help facilitate relationships between member organisations.

Jon Monk, development manager, said: 'Changes in funding and in the whole structure of publicly funded business support mean that now is the ideal time for us to extend our services to even more new and established businesses.  These changes, undertaken with the full support of our members and partners, will allow us to provide support and advice to those who need it most at a time when the success of small businesses is vital to the future of our economy.'

The Business Group's members include sole traders, limited companies, partnerships, charities, community organisations, co-operatives, social enterprises, public sector partners, further and higher education institutions and PLCs with turnovers ranging from less than £4k a year to those exceeding £150m.
