Selima invests £1 million in Building for the Future

Selima, the North West based payroll solutions provider, has just invested £1 million in a new office space on Sheffield Business Park that will become the central hub for its payroll focused business. The move to a brand new building on Europa View is a key component of the aggressive expansion plans for the business.


Mark Kinnell, Chief Executive said: “This property purchase, which has been supported by NatWest Bank, marks the final stage of a merger process that began over two years ago. The company has grown significantly in the provision of Software as a Service (SaaS) opportunities in local government, education, housing associations and the homecare sector over that period, and this move gives us the foundation for future growth.”

The new office, was officially opened on the 5th of September by local MP Clive Betts, will become home for over 40 people and serve as a centre of excellence for the provision of a wide range of payroll related services to a growing list of clients.

The company transferred its existing 30 strong workforce, which includes customer support and development staff, during August and has already recruited 10 new people for its new payroll service team. Plans are in place to double the team during 2012 as the managed service side of the business continues to grow.

Mr Kinnell continued “Having a central location for all of the payroll skills of the business in one centralised office ensures that that we can not only deliver the best possible managed service to our customers, but also guarantee that the software we develop is always matched to the market needs.”
